Bluebonnet Season Back Roads

Bluebonnet Season Back Roads

When the farm roads turn blue.

Out the front gateFayette County, TX

For a few weeks from late March into April, the back roads around Carmine, Round Top, and Warrenton put on Texas's most famous show: fields and ditches washed in bluebonnets, paintbrush, and wildflowers. It lines up beautifully with the spring antique shows — treasure in the fields, wildflowers between them.

A slow drive with the windows down is the whole activity. We're happy to point you to our favorite loop and the best spots for a family photo in the blue.

Don't miss

  • Peak bluebonnets late March–April

From the Ranch

Ask us for the loop. Go early or late for soft light, pull fully off the road, and watch for fire ants before you sit the kids down in the flowers.
